Following impressive performances at the 2025 Tour of Poyang Lake and a series of outstanding results over the past two years, young cyclist Pham Le Xuan Loc (Military Region 7) has officially accepted an invitation from Quick Pro Team – a professional team belonging to the UCI Continental system, the continental level of competition of the International Cycling Federation (UCI). This is considered a special milestone not only for Loc himself but also for Vietnamese cycling.
A turning point in Pham Le Xuan Loc's career.
Born in 2005 in Lam Dong province , Pham Le Xuan Loc belongs to a rare generation of young athletes who possess both speed and a strong foundation in endurance and climbing ability – crucial qualities for success in international professional competitions. In a short time, Loc has established himself as one of the most outstanding talents of the Vietnamese cycling generation.

The major turning point came in 2024 when Loc achieved an "unbelievable" feat at the Dien Bien Phu Cycling Race - Nhan Dan Newspaper Cup, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. He simultaneously won four prestigious titles: the Yellow Jersey, the Green Jersey, the Polka Dot Jersey, and the White Jersey, creating an unprecedented feat in the history of Vietnamese cycling and bringing Xuan Loc's name beyond national borders.
Pham Le Xuan Loc is expected to explode in popularity in 2025.
Wearing the colors of Military Region 7, Loc continued to demonstrate his outstanding performance. At the 2025 National U23 Youth Championship, he almost dominated the important events, winning 4 gold medals in individual and road cycling events. Not stopping at the youth level, at the 2025 National Cycling Championship, Loc continued to surprise by surpassing many experienced seniors with 3 medals: a gold medal in the individual road cycling event, a gold medal in the 40km points race, and a silver medal in the individual time trial.
With such an impressive record in just one season, Loc became one of the very few young Vietnamese cyclists to win gold medals in both the junior and national categories.
Why did Quick Pro Team choose Xuan Loc?
Quick Pro Team is a unique racing team: registered in Estonia (Europe), but its core members come from Asian countries such as Mongolia, China, and South Korea. This team is likened to "Asians with European passports" - combining the endurance, discipline, and ambition characteristic of Eastern racers.

Unlike many European racing teams that only recruit established athletes, Quick Pro targets young, highly promising talents with a strong desire to prove themselves. Pham Le Xuan Loc meets all the criteria: intelligent racing style, excellent track reading, powerful sprinting ability suitable for high-speed stages, and remarkable progress in climbing – qualities that demand steely physical and mental fortitude, along with consistency across competitions, demonstrating his ability to adapt to a high-pressure competitive environment.
Lộc's inclusion in the team wasn't a "stroke of luck," but rather the result of his significant progress and ability to compete on equal footing with international racers.
A historic milestone for Vietnamese cycling.
If the negotiations between the parties lead to a signing, Pham Le Xuan Loc will become one of the first young male cyclists from Vietnam to represent the UCI Continental team in Europe. This is a significant step forward, as the UCI Continental environment serves as a springboard for athletes to advance to higher levels such as ProTeam or WorldTour – the arena for prestigious races like the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, and Vuelta a España.
For Vietnamese cycling, the appearance of a rider in this system opens up opportunities for deeper integration with the world , while also strongly inspiring the younger generation of athletes who aspire to compete internationally.
