Center back Pham Ly Duc was injured in the National Cup quarter-final match between HAGL and The Cong Viettel at My Dinh Stadium on March 30. He injured his left knee and had to leave the field on a stretcher.
Initially, the medical team of the mountain town football team predicted that Ly Duc would only need about a month to recover. However, according to Tri Thuc - Znews 's investigation, the 2002-born central defender suffered a ligament injury in his left knee, which was more serious than initially diagnosed. This made Ly Duc's recovery process take longer than expected.
The latest images posted by HAGL on their fanpage show that Ly Duc is still undergoing rehabilitation at the team’s physical therapy room. Although he can run lightly, he cannot participate in training with his teammates. Before returning to Pleiku, this player will have two weeks of rehabilitation training with the Vietnam team’s doctor.
Currently, the official time for Ly Duc to return to the field has not been determined. Meanwhile, the FIFA Days training session in June is approaching. If this central defender does not fully recover in the next two weeks, he may miss the opportunity to be called up to the Vietnam national team or U22 Vietnam.
