Lieutenant General - Writer Huu Uoc, Chairman of the Police Writers' Association and Head of the Organizing Committee, affirmed: The "New Spring" Poetry Contest is not only a meaningful cultural and artistic activity, but also a bridge to spread humanistic values, cultivate love for the homeland, the country, and the Vietnamese people, especially the image of the People's Police force in the hearts of the people. The contest aims to evoke positive emotions, create a creative space, and foster exchange among authors inside and outside the force.

According to the Organizing Committee, the "New Spring" Poetry Contest has the theme "Spring - Country - People," and includes a separate prize for works about the People's Public Security Force. Participants must be Vietnamese citizens living and working both domestically and abroad. Submitted works must be original creations, never before published in the mass media or on social networks.
Evaluating the professional quality of the competition, Lieutenant Colonel - Writer Nhu Binh, Head of the Special Topics Department of the People's Police Newspaper and a member of the Judging Panel, said: the competition's theme opens up a wide emotional space, creating conditions for authors to express their civic responsibility, cultural depth, and the close relationship between police officers and the people. She believes the competition will produce many works with sincere emotions and innovative expressions, contributing to enriching the landscape of contemporary poetry.

The contest will run for 60 days, accepting entries from December 10, 2025 to February 10, 2026. Each author may submit a maximum of three poems per entry, along with complete personal information and a portrait photo. Manuscripts should be sent via email to vanhoccongan@gmail.com. The organizers will not accept works in the satirical, epic, satirical, translated, or adapted poetry genres. Works published on the Public Security Literature Fanpage are those that have passed the preliminary round.
The Organizing Committee comprises reputable writers from the police force and literary circles; the Judging Panel consists of experienced poets and writers, ensuring objectivity, expertise, and artistic quality, such as poet Nguyen Tien Thanh, poet Tran Le Khanh, poet Trang Thanh, and two police writers: Nhu Binh and Phan Duc Loc.
The prize structure includes 1 First Prize worth 30 million VND; 2 Second Prizes worth 7 million VND each, 3 Third Prizes worth 5 million VND each; 5 Consolation Prizes worth 2 million VND each; and 1 prize for the best work about the People's Police Force worth 5 million VND. The closing ceremony and awards presentation are expected to be held in the first quarter of 2026 at Wish Park ( Hanoi ).
The "New Spring" Poetry Contest is expected to become a cultural highlight of the Public Security Literature Association in the spring of 2026, contributing to enriching spiritual life and spreading positive values in the community.
