Launching the online quiz competition "Proud of Vietnam"

Kinhtedothi – On March 8th, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, organized the 2025 National Conference of Central Speakers and launched the online quiz competition "Proud of Vietnam".

Attending and directing the conference was Politburo member - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Nguyen Trong Nghia. The conference was chaired by the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi and alternate member of the Central Committee of the Party - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Nguyen Van Hieu.

Also attending were representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Public Security , the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Departments of provinces/cities, the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, and the city's leaders.

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, and Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Nguyen Trong Nghia, delivered a speech at the conference.

In his welcoming remarks at the conference, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Nguyen Thanh Nghi, stated that the city was honored to be chosen as the host locality for the National Conference of Central Reporting Officers, the 2025 training conference on external information work, and the launching ceremony of the online competition "Proud of Vietnam" in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. This is an important activity to raise awareness among central and local ministries and agencies about the position and importance of external information work, propaganda, and mass mobilization.

Ho Chi Minh City has made significant progress in implementing strategic breakthrough solutions and creating new growth drivers, especially in attracting investment resources to develop socio-economic infrastructure, urban beautification, building a smart city, gradually modernizing it, and promoting green transformation and digital transformation. The city has strived to achieve many important results in the development of education and training, and healthcare for the people; paying attention to implementing the contents of building and developing national values, cultural values, family values, and the standards of Vietnamese people in the new era, associated with building the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space to improve the quality of life for the people.

From the beginning of 2024, the city focused on implementing a comprehensive set of activities to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country, particularly focusing on activities to improve the lives of the people. The city issued 11 resolutions on policies to care for those affected during this commemorative period. Resources were concentrated on repairing and building new houses for war veterans and their families; striving to complete these projects and ensure that war veterans and their families do not face housing difficulties, contributing to social security in the area. Simultaneously, 61 city-level programs, projects, and initiatives were implemented across six areas: culture and society; economy; urban development; science and technology, innovation; administrative reform; and national defense, security, and foreign affairs.

Historical witnesses and experts participated in a panel discussion on the liberation of South Vietnam and the reunification of the country.

“The National Conference of Central Reporting Officers in March 2025 and the Launch Ceremony of the “Proud of Vietnam” Contest, chosen to be held in Ho Chi Minh City, is one of the most important events, contributing to providing information and widely disseminating to all strata of the people, the team of reporting officers and propagandists of the Party about the meaning, scale, and immense historical value of the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign and the resistance war against the American imperialist invasion; about the great achievements of the country in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular 50 years after the complete liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. Through this, it encourages and motivates cadres, Party members and all strata of the people of Ho Chi Minh City to compete in achieving accomplishments to celebrate the great national holidays and the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party,” emphasized Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

At the conference, the Organizing Committee also invited historical witnesses and experts to participate in discussions on the liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country; and the building and development of Ho Chi Minh City in the new era.

Delegates attending the conference also received information from Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Member of the Political Bureau - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, on the content of the study and understanding, and an overview of the results in the reorganization of the political system's apparatus, its efficiency, effectiveness, and efficiency, and the challenges facing propaganda and mass mobilization work in the new situation.

 

The online quiz "Proud of Vietnam" is organized by the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department in coordination with the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. The contest aims to promote awareness of the historical values ​​of the August Revolution and the achievements of the country after 50 years of liberation of the South. Participants can access the contest via the website baocaovien.vn; the "Vietnamese Youth" mobile application; or newspapers and magazines that have links to the contest.
