The entries focus on portraying examples of people with disabilities and orphans - especially young people - overcoming difficulties, excelling in their studies, digital transformation, establishing themselves and their careers, contributing to the country's development.

Authors can write about outstanding individuals participating in preparing for the Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term or groups and individuals helping disadvantaged people in remote areas, ethnic minority areas, border areas, islands...

The organizers especially encourage people with disabilities and orphans to tell their own stories about overcoming their fate.

Launching the contest, Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Magazine Nguyen Toan Thang said: This year's contest has a new feature that is associated with the 2025 theme of the Central Youth Union - "Vietnamese youth are proud and firmly believe in the Party", practically celebrating major holidays and looking forward to the 14th National Party Congress.

With that spirit, the Organizing Committee added a number of awards such as: "Inspiring character", "Character mastering science and technology", "Creativity", "Passion"... to honor simple but shining examples in life.

The Organizing Committee will accept entries from now until August 30 at the following address: Thanh Nien Magazine, No. 5 Chua Lang Street (Dong Da District, Hanoi); email: [email protected].

The closing ceremony and award ceremony of the competition is expected to take place in October 2025 in Hanoi.

After 7 times of organization, the writing contest "Overcoming fate" has achieved positive results, creating great encouragement for hundreds of individuals in difficult circumstances to rise up, becoming shining examples for the community, especially the young generation.
