Attending the launching ceremony were leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors; representatives of medical units in the province and a large number of people from Bac Ha district.

Over the past years, Lao Cai has achieved many results in the work of protecting, caring for and educating children, especially in the implementation of basic rights of children and goals for children. The guidelines and policies in the socio -economic development strategies and plans of all levels, sectors and localities have set out specific goals for protecting, caring for and educating children; thereby, children are increasingly protected, cared for and educated better, and children's rights are guaranteed.

The province currently has over 228 thousand children. The rate of children in special circumstances has decreased to 1.36% (down 0.02% compared to the same period); attention has been paid to children's health care, the rate of children receiving vitamin A supplements and deworming has reached over 94%; the rate of children under 6 years old receiving health insurance cards and free medical examination and treatment at public health facilities has reached 100%; indicators on culture,education , and health care for children have all met and exceeded the plan...

Speaking at the launching ceremony, the leader of the Department of Health emphasized: in the context of modern society, children face many risks such as: school violence, abuse, accidents, drowning and some negative impacts from the internet...
To further improve the work of protecting and caring for children, the Month of Action for Children 2025 was launched with the theme "Prioritizing resources to complete goals for children" and responding to Micronutrient Day with the communication message "Micronutrients are essential for the growth process, physical development, stature and intelligence, improving health, and strengthening the body's resistance".
This is an opportunity to mobilize the entire population to participate in protecting and caring for children, promptly reporting acts of abuse, violence, mistreatment, and trafficking of children so that measures can be taken to intervene and support children. At the same time, raising public awareness of the harmful effects of micronutrient deficiencies and remedial measures to improve children's health, contributing to reducing the rate of malnutrition in children.



Immediately after the launching ceremony, delegates, union members and youth participated in the parade, cheering and propaganda in response to the Month of Action for Children and Micronutrient Day June 1-2, 2025.
