Detected 28 cases of Forestry Law violations

In the first 3 months of 2025, forest rangers and functional agencies in the province discovered 28 violations of the Forestry Law, a decrease of 11 cases compared to the same period last year. The main violations include: illegal deforestation, illegal forest exploitation, violations of regulations on forest animal protection and management, illegal transportation of forest products; illegal storage, trading, and processing of forest products... Of which, 18 cases were administratively handled with a total fine of more than 53 million VND.

In the first quarter of 2025, the whole province only had one protective forest fire, but it was mainly dry grass, vines and shrubs, no natural forest trees were burned. Dong Nai is currently the locality that still retains the largest forest area in the Southeast region.
