Over 28 billion VND in violations detected through inspection in 2023

Provincial Inspectorate leaders awarded certificates of merit to individuals with outstanding achievements in 2023.

In 2023, the entire inspection sector conducted 86 inspections of 166 agencies and units; issued 75 inspection conclusions. Through the inspection, economic violations were detected with a total amount of over 28 billion VND , including: Proposal to recover to the state budget over 22 billion VND, recommendation for other economic handling over 5 billion VND . In addition, a decision was issued to impose administrative sanctions on 1 organization; recommendation for administrative handling against 39 organizations and 125 individuals who violated.

In the specialized inspection and examination work, 578 inspections and examinations were carried out on 271 organizations and 851 individuals . Through the inspection, 54 organizations and 335 individuals were found to have committed economic violations with a total amount of 1.5 billion VND . 372 decisions were issued to sanction administrative violations against 35 organizations and 337 individuals with a total amount of over 6 billion VND; 43 criminal cases with 26 defendants were recommended .

During the year, the inspection agency discovered many shortcomings and violations in economic management, and recommended the recovery of many illegal amounts of money to the budget. Thereby, it contributed to rectifying management work, and had a deterrent effect on cadres, civil servants and public employees.

In 2024, the Provincial Inspectorate will closely follow the Government Inspectorate 's inspection program orientation on state management requirements and socio-economic development at all levels and sectors to implement inspection work. Improve the quality and efficiency of inspection work, ensure inspection conclusions are accurate and objective. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lo Van Tien suggested that in addition to specialized inspections, the inspection sector must promptly organize and carry out assigned surprise inspections. Advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct the implementation of documents guiding the Law on Inspection when issued by competent authorities. Strengthen monitoring, inspection and urging the implementation of recommendations and post-inspection handling decisions, striving to urge the implementation of over 80% of the recommended contents according to the inspection conclusion. Timely grasp the process of organizing the implementation of inspection and examination plans of agencies and units to handle overlapping contents arising in the activities of inspection organizations, ensuring to minimize the impact of inspection activities on the performance of regular tasks of inspected subjects, especially for enterprises.

On this occasion, the Provincial Inspectorate awarded certificates of merit to 11 collectives and 27 individuals with outstanding achievements in inspection work in 2023.
