The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented many important contents at the October meeting of the Provincial People's Committee.

On October 24, at the regular October meeting of the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented many important contents in the field of culture and information.

The meeting was attended by comrades: Le Thanh Do - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Lo Van Cuong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired. Attending the meeting were comrade Ha Quang Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of relevant departments, branches, sectors and units.

At the meeting, comrade Nguyen Minh Phu - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported 04 important contents in the field of culture and information: submitting to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and submission to the Provincial People's Council to issue a Resolution regulating the content of expenditure and the level of expenditure to support propagandists and mass art actors in the province and approving the Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Resolutions of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Council; submitting to the Provincial People's Committee to issue: Decision detailing the criteria for awarding the titles "Cultural Family", "Cultural Village, Hamlet, Residential Group", "Typical Commune, Ward" and "Decision on Specifying a number of contents on the management of public Internet access points and public electronic game service points in Dien Bien province".

At the meeting, the participants basically agreed with the policy and the necessity of issuing resolutions and regulations. At the same time, the delegates focused on discussing, clarifying, supplementing and amending the content of a number of reports, decisions and resolutions to ensure legality and suitability with the actual situation.

Regarding the Decision detailing the criteria for awarding the titles of "Cultural Family", "Cultural Village, Hamlet, Residential Group", "Outstanding Commune, Ward", the delegates suggested that it is necessary to re-examine the set of criteria for awarding the titles of "Outstanding Commune, Ward" because the commune and ward levels have changed their scale, functions, tasks, and the arrangement of villages, hamlets, and residential groups. Concluding this content, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue a document guiding the awarding of the titles of "Cultural Family", "Cultural Village, Hamlet, Residential Group" in accordance with the new situation; the awarding of outstanding communes and wards is temporarily suspended until there is a new guiding document from the Central Government.

The contents approved at the meeting, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is responsible for completing and submitting to the Provincial People's Committee before October 27, 2025.
