In the past 5 years (2019 - 2024), in the context of many difficulties and challenges, with the spirit of innovation and determination to act, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in Van Lam district continued to promote its role in propagating, mobilizing, gathering and uniting people of all walks of life; promoting the role of member organizations; promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc; improving the quality of campaigns, patriotic emulation movements, supervision and social criticism. The achievements of the Front's work in the past term are of great significance, contributing to consolidating and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc, enhancing social consensus to successfully carry out political tasks, develop the economy - society, ensure political security, social order and safety in the district; build an increasingly strong Party and government.
One of the outstanding results of the Front's work in the district during the past term was to improve the effectiveness of propaganda, mobilization, gathering people of all walks of life, consolidating and promoting the strength of great national unity. Propaganda and mobilization work for people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; resolutions of Party congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term; policies and resolutions... of the province and district on socio-economic development, building the political system; implementing key national, provincial and district projects were focused on with many diverse forms. The implementation of campaigns and emulation movements was effective and widespread, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere among people of all walks of life.
Every year, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18), 100% of residential areas in the district organize the National Great Unity Day - Military-Civilian Cultural Festival, over 60% of residential areas have organized the Great Unity Meal. This is an opportunity for residential areas to summarize the campaigns and patriotic emulation movements, encourage and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements, contributing to building the cultural life in the community. In particular, the focus is on the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" associated with building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas continue to be deployed more and more widely, attracting the participation of many classes of people. The member organizations of the Fatherland Front have promoted emulation movements such as: "Good workers, creative workers"; "Farmers compete in production, good business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably"; “Exemplary veterans”, “Veterans help each other reduce poverty, do good business ”; the campaign “Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean”... Thereby, attracting a large number of cadres, party members, union members, association members and people to participate in practical and effective work. In the past term, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the district mobilized people to support over 500 billion VND, donate 5,800m2 of land and 7,540 working days... contributing to the construction of advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas. Up to now, the whole district has 8 communes meeting advanced new rural standards, of which 3 communes meeting model new rural standards, 19 model new rural residential areas.
Implementing the emulation movement "For the poor - No one is left behind", the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the district and its member organizations have actively innovated the content and methods of mobilization, attracting support in terms of resources to effectively and promptly help the poor and those in difficult circumstances. During the past term, the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels in the district mobilized over 2 billion VND. From this fund, 2,369 poor households in the district were given gifts on the occasion of the anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18 every year) and the Lunar New Year with an amount of over 1 billion VND. Along with that, 99 poor households and victims of Agent Orange were supported to build and repair houses from the provincial "For the Poor" Fund with a total value of over 4 billion VND...
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the district actively promoted propaganda and mobilized people to effectively prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic and get vaccinated. The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district advised and mobilized and received over 5.5 billion VND and many goods and necessities to serve the epidemic prevention and control work. From this resource, timely support was provided to forces participating in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic in agencies, units and residential areas, the Community Covid-19 Prevention and Control Team, etc.
Also in the past 5 years, the Fatherland Front at all levels in Van Lam district has done well in promoting democracy, representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; supervising and providing social criticism, participating in building a strong Party and government. In order to promptly grasp and gather the opinions and legitimate aspirations of the people to reflect to the Party, the State, and governments at all levels, and strengthen the people's trust in the leadership of the Party, the management and administration of governments at all levels. The Fatherland Front at all levels has chaired the establishment of 15 supervision delegations; coordinated participation in 42 supervision delegations. The People's Inspection Committees supervised 99 meetings. The supervision content focuses on issues of concern to the people such as: Implementation of the Grassroots Democracy Charter; land management, construction of public welfare works; building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas; implementing social policies... Through monitoring, the Fatherland Front at all levels has proposed and recommended to competent agencies to overcome limitations and shortcomings. The recommendations of the Fatherland Front have been accepted and directed by Party committees and authorities to ensure the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the People.
The important efforts and contributions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the district over the past 5 years have been recognized and highly appreciated by all levels, sectors and people. Many organizations and individuals have been promptly commended and rewarded.
The 25th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Van Lam district, term 2024 - 2029, with the determination to "Promote the strength of the great national unity bloc; continue to innovate the content and methods of operation; implement democracy, strengthen social consensus, improve the quality and effectiveness of the Front's work, contribute to building Van Lam district to develop rapidly, sustainably and soon become a type IV urban area". With the results and experiences drawn from the term 2019 - 2024, in the coming time, the Fatherland Front at all levels of Van Lam district will continue to promote its role and position, promote the strength of the great national unity bloc, successfully implement the set goals and tasks, especially effectively implement the breakthroughs and action programs of the term 2024 - 2029, contributing to building Van Lam homeland to be increasingly rich, civilized, prosperous and happy.
