Promoting the role of commune and ward farmers' associations after merger

After the merger, the work of arranging and perfecting the organization of the Farmers' Association at the provincial and commune levels has been urgently, promptly and appropriately deployed. The Farmers' Association apparatus at all levels has initially come into stable operation. The implementation of policies, programs and projects to support farmers, farmers have access to information more quickly and promptly. Strengthening the rights and responsibilities of the Farmers' Association at the commune and ward levels, especially enhancing the role in advising and proposing policies and solutions related to agriculture , farmers and rural areas in the area.

However, the association's work and farmers' movement at the grassroots level still face some difficulties and obstacles, such as: Working equipment at some establishments is still lacking; the electronic document software system has not been fully updated; the application of information technology still faces some difficulties; some commune-level Farmers' Associations have not yet completed the positions of chairman and vice chairman...

Speaking at the conference, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Ha Anh Dung assessed that after 1 month of operating the 2-level local government, the Farmers' Association is the first mass organization in the province to organize a conference to evaluate the results of the operation as well as the movements of the association. This is a great effort of the Provincial Farmers' Association in leadership and direction and of the Farmers' Associations of communes and wards in implementing the movement.

After the merger, Dong Nai province has a large area and a large population, one of the top in the country with a large proportion of farmers in the total population, so there are many difficulties in implementing activities and movements of the Farmers' Association. Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Ha Anh Dung suggested: In the coming time, Farmers' Associations at all levels should continue to promote propaganda work on the 2-level local government model, especially at the commune and ward levels with larger areas, requiring huge changes in the arrangement and working methods. From cadres to members, we must promote the spirit of each person working 2 or 3 times harder to meet the requirements of the tasks in the new situation and the reality in the locality.
