The communes have built 2 community tourism spots and are implementing 2 more tourist spots. It can be said that this is a happy start for tourism in Tan Lac district".
The family of Ms. Dinh Thi Truong, Chieng hamlet, Van Son commune, decided to renovate the stilt house into a homestay accommodation space in Lung Van. Her family invested nearly 400 million VND and borrowed capital to upgrade the stilt house to be more spacious and convenient, able to accommodate 15-20 guests. At the same time, they participated in tourism training courses organized by local authorities to clearly understand the needs and methods of serving tourists, ensuring the development of the family economy in the direction of sustainable tourism. Ms. Dinh Thi Truong shared: "Tourists coming to the homestay all request to enjoy Muong ethnic dishes and are satisfied with the homestay's services."
Along with the long-standing traditional culture, the openness and hospitality of the local people, all are creating an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists. Mr. Vu Van Hung, a tourist from Long Bien, Hanoi said: "This is the second time my family has come here for tourism and relaxation, each time has a different feeling. Here we can experience the life of the local people, participate in activities and daily life with the people. Thanks to that, everyone has the opportunity to explore and learn about the culture, unique landscapes and traditional values of the locality. The climate here is fresh, especially the people of Van Son in particular and the Muong ethnic people in general are very sincere and hospitable".
A highlight when visiting the highland communes of Tan Lac that tourists cannot miss is Lung Van market, which is held every Tuesday and Sunday. The items sold at the market are diverse and rich with many typical local agricultural products such as Nam Son ancient tangerines, chayote, wild wood ear mushrooms, especially traditional herbal medicines of the people...
In the past year, implementing Resolution No. 13-NQ/TU on "Building the highland communes of Tan Lac district into provincial-level tourist areas by 2030, with a vision to 2050", in addition to investing in infrastructure, local departments, branches and organizations have promoted the work of promoting and introducing potential to domestic and foreign tourists. In 2024, the district welcomed 294,500 visitors, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development.
Comrade Ha Van Ha, Vice Chairman of Van Son Commune People's Committee said: "After households participated in the homestay model, they welcomed many tourists to visit and experience, thereby contributing to promoting local agricultural products. In the coming time, we will continue to expand the homestay model in Hay Duoi hamlet".
