Previously, at the end of March, the Soc Trang Province Project Management Board 2 criticized the contractor Hai Dang Joint Stock Company (leading the consortium of package 10) for the second time, because the package implementation value only reached about 3% of the contract. This unit has not yet completed the service road, the sand filling work on the main roadbed is very slow, not reaching the commitment of 2,000m3/day.
Construction Joint Stock Company 469 was criticized because the progress of sand filling on the main roadbed did not meet the commitment of 500m3/day.
Several other contractors were also criticized and reminded by the investor for the delay in arranging sand transportation equipment, such as: Construction Investment Joint Stock Company 6, Vinadelta Joint Stock Company, Dong Do Development Construction Investment Group Joint Stock Company - Ministry of National Defense and Construction Industrial Production Joint Stock Company 3.
The investor requested the contractors Southern Construction Investment Joint Stock Company and Southeast Construction Joint Stock Company to urgently speed up the bridge construction work to ensure the right progress.
To achieve the progress of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project phase 1, Chairman of the People's Committee of Soc Trang province - Tran Van Lau requested that Project Management Board 2 (investor) closely monitor the construction progress, promptly handle contractors who are late and have no progress in implementing the project. This unit must review the contractor's capacity and resolutely replace weak contractors.
Regarding the source of materials, the leaders of Soc Trang province require sand mining enterprises to ensure the correct volume according to the confirmation and mineral mining license. The Department of Agriculture and Environment (DARD) will coordinate with Project Management Board 2 to closely monitor sand mining activities and advise the Provincial People's Committee to revoke the license of enterprises that violate the commitment.
Regarding the MS12 sand mine exploited by Truong Son Construction Corporation to serve Component Project 4, the People's Committee of Soc Trang province requested that within 10 days (from April 1), if the enterprise does not have measures to exploit to ensure the licensed capacity, the Department of Agriculture and Environment will submit a plan to withdraw the confirmation issued to the enterprise.
The head of Soc Trang provincial government requested construction contractors and sand mining enterprises to mobilize all means and equipment to ensure progress. Sand transport vehicles must install positioning and route monitoring devices according to regulations.
The Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Project has a total length of 188 km, with a total investment of nearly 44,700 billion VND. This project starts at National Highway 91 in Chau Doc City (An Giang), and ends at Tran De Port in Soc Trang Province. Of which, the section passing through Soc Trang Province is about 56 km long. Speeding up the construction progress is an urgent requirement to put the project into operation soon, contributing to the socio-economic development of the Mekong Delta region.
