The 3D movie "De Men: Adventure to the Swamp" - adapted from the story "De Men Adventures" by the late writer To Hoai - will be shown in Vietnamese theaters in the summer of 2025 and is expected to earn 40-100 billion VND.

With the desire to bring the image of De closer to the public, director Mai Phuong and his crew have adapted it into a 3D movie called De Men: Adventure to the Swamp Village .
The 3D animation film directed and written by Nguyen Mai Phuong was released on the afternoon of January 6 in Hanoi . It was produced by Cine Plus Company in collaboration with CGV and Kim Dong Publishing House.
Cricket: Adventure to the Swamp Village is inspired by the story of Cricket's Adventures. The film brings new colors through impressive special effects and images imbued with Vietnamese culture.
The film tells the story of the adventures of brothers De Men and De Trui in Xom Lay Loi. With their curiosity, the two brothers face more and more dangers as they go, but through the challenges, the two crickets understand more about precious friendship.

When asked about the revenue expectations of the film De Men: Adventure to the Swamp Village , producer Vu Duy Nam said that this is a film adapted from a famous literary work, which has a lot of meaning for the public, so he and his crew do not focus on revenue. However, the crew's wish is that the film will earn at least 40 billion VND and if possible, it can reach the hundred billion VND mark when it is released in the summer of 2025.
Sharing about the challenges of making a 3D film inspired by literature, according to director Mai Phuong, it is a deep understanding of the 3D production process. Not only that, the director needs to face the big challenge of how to balance three audience factors: those who love the original work and expect the same emotions as when reading the book; the audience looking for pure entertainment and those curious about the media art of the film. This requires flexibility and creativity to suit the diverse needs of the audience.

From the family representative, Ms. Song Thao - daughter of writer To Hoai - was moved when her father's famous literary work became a vivid film on the big screen. She hopes that the film will not only be shown in Vietnam but also around the world .
Director of the Department of Cinema Dang Tran Cuong believes that De Men: Adventure to the Swamp Village tells the story of De Men's journey with very pure Vietnamese cultural elements cleverly integrated. This is also a journey that contributes to bringing Vietnamese cinema to the world.
"Having previewed some images, I hope the public will be excited to welcome the film, especially young audiences," said Mr. Dang Tran Cuong.
