On behalf of the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Parliamentarians Group, Vice President of the Nationalities Council Tran Thi Hoa Ry congratulated the Cambodian people on celebrating Chol Chnam Thmay and entering the new year.
Congratulating Cambodia on successfully organizing the election of the 5th Cambodian Senate on February 25 with a high voter turnout and the Cambodian People's Party's almost absolute victory, the Vice President of the Nationalities Council affirmed that the election results demonstrate the Cambodian people's firm belief in the Cambodian People's Party and the Cambodian Government . This is an extremely important victory, creating favorable conditions for the Cambodian People's Party to continue to win in the election of the 4th Provincial, City, District and Town Councils in May.
The Vice President of the Nationalities Council expressed his belief that under the wise leadership of the Cambodian People's Party, Cambodia will continue to gain greater and more important achievements on the path of building and developing prosperity, the Cambodian people will live in peace , prosperity and happiness, and Cambodia's role and position will be increasingly enhanced in the region and in the international arena.
Affirming that the cooperative relationship between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the Senate and National Assembly of Cambodia has achieved many good results on the solid foundation of the historical tradition of solidarity, attachment and mutual assistance between the two Parties and the two States, the Vice President of the National Assembly Council hopes that the Cambodian Ambassador to Vietnam will continue to pay attention to and coordinate to promote and maintain high-level and all-level contacts between groups of Senators, young National Assembly deputies, female Senators and National Assembly deputies of the two countries to exchange professional experience in the field of legislation, supervision and decision on important issues of the country, building understanding and political trust between parliamentarians of the two countries.
The Vice President of the Nationalities Council expressed his hope that the Cambodian Ambassador to Vietnam would pay attention and closely coordinate in promoting the role of the legislative bodies of the two countries in promoting bilateral relations; closely coordinate in organizing and implementing high-level agreements, including completing land border work; resolving legal documents and nationality for people of Vietnamese origin in Cambodia; support in removing obstacles for business and investment activities of Vietnamese enterprises in Cambodia; contribute to strengthening propaganda and education for the young generation of the two countries, including Cambodian students studying in Vietnam, to understand and appreciate, and preserve the good relationship between the two peoples; promote people-to-people diplomacy, connect students who have studied and are studying in Vietnam, and further connect the friendship associations of the two countries.
The Vice President of the Ethnic Council hopes that the Cambodian Embassy in Vietnam will coordinate and support the organization of multilateral foreign affairs events hosted by each country; support each other at regional and international parliamentary forums, including the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (AIPA), the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF)...
Expressing his joy and honor to welcome the Vice President of the Nationalities Council to visit and extend New Year greetings, Cambodian Ambassador to Vietnam Chea Kimtha thanked the Vice President of the Nationalities Council for his best wishes to the Party, State and People of Cambodia.
In his position, the Ambassador affirmed that he will make every effort to promote and develop the friendship and solidarity between the two countries, the two Parties and the two States; further promote people-to-people exchanges, especially exchanges between the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Parliamentarians' Groups.
