Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh inspects the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project

On the morning of November 25, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and the Government delegation inspected the site of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project through Dong Nai. Also attending were Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, and representatives of Dong Nai province's departments and branches.

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh inspects the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project

Reporting to the Deputy Prime Minister and the working delegation, Mr. Nguyen Linh, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Province Construction Investment Project Management Board, said that the route through Dong Nai is 11.26 km long, with a total investment of more than VND 2,584 billion, and will be basically completed in 2025 and put into synchronous operation in 2026.

Up to now, the construction volume has reached 60.2% of the contract value, many items have exceeded the planned progress. The project has 3 main construction packages, of which, package 26 is 2.2km long, reaching 47% of the contract value. This section, with the overpass at the intersection of Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway and Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, has completed 12/14 spans; when the girders are finished, the contractor will complete 12 bridge decks. The last two bridge abutments have also been completed.

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh gave gifts to encourage construction workers at the site.

The main difficulties are unfavorable weather, continuous rain, affecting construction progress and Dong Nai province is simultaneously implementing many large projects such as Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, Cat Lai bridge (in preparation), upgraded provincial roads... causing scarcity of material supply at mines, directly affecting the progress of bidding packages.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh acknowledged the efforts of the team of engineers and workers at the construction site. The Deputy Prime Minister noted: “This is an important project to connect Ho Chi Minh City with Dong Nai province, the former Binh Duong and Long An areas and other localities in the region. When completed, the project will promote its effectiveness along with the projects that have been and are being invested in, creating new development space, helping to exploit land use potential, building a sustainable and modern urban system, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals and tasks.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested relevant units to take advantage of favorable weather to increase shifts and equipment to work day and night... in order to complete the Prime Minister's request of technical traffic opening on December 19, 2025 and ensure the quality of the project.
