Phong Dien: Handing over houses to families of people with revolutionary contributions and near-poor households

(CT) - The Steering Committee for the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Phong Dien district has just held a ceremony to hand over houses to families of people with revolutionary contributions and near-poor households in Tan Thoi commune, responding to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses".

Phong Dien district leaders presented symbolic boards to hand over houses to households.

According to the leaders of Phong Dien district, the construction and repair of charity houses and houses for near-poor households is a program of humanity and noble meaning. In 2025, the district supported the construction of 61 houses for policy households, meritorious people, and near-poor households in the area; of which 43 were newly built and 18 were repaired. Accordingly, the local budget and district funds supported over 2.8 billion VND, households contributed over 1 billion VND and mobilized 1,578 working days to carry out the work. Up to now, 100% of families have completed the construction and repair of houses, in accordance with the district's plan.

At the ceremony, the district leaders congratulated and presented a symbolic handover board for 16 houses to policy families, meritorious people, and near-poor households in Tan Thoi commune; including 11 newly built houses and 5 repaired houses, with a total support value of 810 million VND. At the same time, each family was given a gift including a set of tables and chairs and 10kg of rice.

This is a project to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
