Showing us around the house that still smelled of fresh paint, Ms. Vu Thi Quy (Group 14, Pom Han Ward, Lao Cai City) said with joy and emotion: "My biggest wish for a solid house has come true. I am grateful to all levels, sectors, and organizations, including the help and connection of the City Women's Union so that my family has enough funds to build a house."

For many years, Ms. Vu Thi Quy's family has lived in a dilapidated house in the 5A apartment building. Due to the impact of storm No. 3, the old house they were living in became even more dilapidated and had to be demolished to ensure safety. Ms. Quy's family has been near-poor for many years, she herself does not have a stable job, and her child has health problems, causing the burden of life to pile up on her shoulders. Now that the solid house has taken shape, Ms. Quy has more motivation to take care of her family and move forward.

For Giang Thi Du and her husband (Ta Phin village, Den Thanh commune, Bat Xat district), the beginning of April 2025 was a heartwarming day when her family received the attention and help of the Party Committee, local authorities, and organizations to join hands to eliminate temporary houses. As an ethnic minority, a poor household, and having had health problems for many years, repairing and rebuilding a long-deteriorated house was truly beyond the ability of Du's family.

With the spirit of “mutual love”, joining hands to eliminate temporary houses, Bat Xat District Women’s Union mobilized more than 50 women who are chairmen and vice chairmen of women’s unions in communes, towns, and women’s union members in villages of Den Thanh commune to help the family transport materials. The vehicles traveled back and forth in unfavorable weather conditions and difficult traffic conditions, but still followed each other to transport bricks and sand on a nearly 2 km route.

Responding to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in the province, in recent times, women's unions at all levels, along with a large number of cadres and members, have joined forces and chosen appropriate methods to implement. This solidarity is demonstrated through the financial support sent to members, and working days to help families dismantle and transport materials. This heartwarming act has helped women in difficult circumstances to soon settle down in their homes.

Solid, warm houses built with love by the efforts of families, the care and sharing of the community, the solidarity and support of women's associations at all levels have become a support for members to settle down, overcome adversity, and contribute to the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area in the spirit of leaving no one behind.
