According to the People's Committee of Vung Tau Ward, the current price for waste collection and transportation is still applied according to Decision 19/2019/QD-UBND of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (formerly).
Specifically: households have a collection rate of 50,000 VND/month; households living at home (renting rooms) have a collection rate of 25,000 VND/month; small businesses have a collection rate of 100,000 VND/month; offices of agencies, administrative units, and public service units have a collection rate of 200,000 VND/month; companies, enterprises, production facilities, hospitals, markets, bus stations, wharves, service businesses, restaurants, hotels, motels ... have a collection rate of 210,000 to 460,000 VND/ton or 210,000 to 460,000 VND/ m3 .
Collection time is from 6pm the previous day to 6am the next day.
The Ward People's Committee requires collection units to comply with the correct time frame, correct price, and issue full invoices to residents and businesses. In case of over-collection or additional collection not in accordance with regulations, they will be strictly handled.
Vung Tau ward leaders affirmed that they will receive people's feedback and strictly handle cases of arbitrarily raising prices higher than the State's regulations.
Previously, on social networks, some people's reflections spread that after the province's merger, the cost of transporting and collecting garbage in residential areas also increased. Specifically, in many places, people were charged 70,000 VND/month instead of the usual 50,000 VND/month.
