All are in the book Final Minutes at the White House: The Fall of the Republic of Vietnam , which the Truth National Political Publishing House has just collaborated with the Oriental Development Research Institute to republish for readers on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of national reunification.
War records from top secret original documents
According to the publisher's introduction, the book consists of two parts. Part I reveals the calculations and plans of the US government at the moment of collapse, from dealing with the war situation to the decision to withdraw troops and evacuate Saigon.
These are top secret original documents, first deciphered in 2015, providing a true perspective on the confusion and humiliating defeat of the US authorities in the face of the stormy offensive power of our army and people.
Part II synthesizes articles and memoirs of American generals who directly participated in the escape from Saigon.
Through these memories, readers can feel the chaotic, desperate atmosphere of the Republic of Vietnam government in its final days, as well as the Americans' astonishment at the irreversible defeat.

Documents from the US to refute false and hostile views
Sharing about the book, Dr. Nguyen Cong Dung, Member of the Editorial and Publishing Council, National Political Publishing House Truth, analyzed four values of documents from the United States itself.
Firstly, the book shows the internal affairs of the US government at that time, their views and thoughts about the war in Vietnam.
Second, the book shows that the US government was completely helpless and confused about how to deal with the Republic of Vietnam government at that time.
Sometimes they wanted to focus on protecting the American people, sometimes they wanted to continue to have a political solution for the Republic of Vietnam. Sometimes they leaned to one side, to the other. There was no internal unity within the American government.
In the days leading up to April 30, 1975, in the 8 minutes of meetings from March 8, 1975, including four minutes of meetings on the security council, there were minutes of phone calls between President Gerald Ford and the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of State. And the two ministers also had phone calls with each other...
America was completely confused about how to deal with the Republic of Vietnam.
Third, the book shows a Republic of Vietnam government that was completely dependent on the US, so when the US turned its back, its collapse would naturally happen immediately.
Fourth, the book also shows that our war was a just war. It was a war of national liberation and national reunification.
"This is a document to refute wrong and hostile views about the war in Vietnam," said Dr. Nguyen Cong Dung.
