Soldiers and civilians join hands to demolish old houses and build new ones for Dan Lai people

On the morning of June 12, authorities at all levels and forces in Mon Son commune (Con Cuong) simultaneously mobilized to help Dan Lai people in the core area of ​​Pu Mat National Park dismantle old houses and prepare to build new ones under the program of building houses for poor households and households with housing difficulties.

From the early morning of June 12, Co Phat village was bustling. Mr. La Van Linh - Head of the Front Committee of Co Phat village, Mon Son commune said that this morning, households receiving support from the State to build new houses and repair houses woke up, prepared pots of green tea to welcome military forces, border guards, police, and then commune officials, Pu Mat National Park to help people dismantle old houses and prepare to build new ones.

On the morning of June 12, the working group of Mon Son Border Guard Station received support from 4 households in Co Phat village to dismantle their old houses, including households: Le Van Thi, Le Van Thanh, La Van Huong, Le Van Manh. These households all dismantled their 3-room houses to make temporary shelters before proceeding to build the foundation and floor of the house.

Mr. Le Thanh Hai - Secretary of the Party Committee of Mon Son commune directly participated with the forces to help Dan Lai people dismantle their houses, saying that according to the district's plan, this time it is expected to mobilize all local forces to help people build houses, trying to complete on time.

Specifically, the first phase is expected to be implemented from June 12-15, mobilizing forces of about 50 - 55 people, including: Mon Son Border Guard Station 8 - 10 people; Police, military and Mon Son commune officials 14 - 16 people; Pu Mat National Park officials and employees 8 - 10 people. Mobilizing forces at Co Phat village about 20 - 25 people.

Phase 1 will help 19 households in Co Phat village to dismantle, build foundations, and floors. Of these, 7 households will be helped to dismantle and move their stilt houses. The support forces are divided into 4 working groups to focus on helping clusters of households according to the assigned and registered plan.

The forces participating in helping the people, in addition to mobilizing human resources, also prepare means and tools, and appoint team leaders to manage and ensure progress.

Mr. Luong Dinh Viet - Standing Deputy Secretary of Con Cuong District Party Committee said that on June 9, 2025, the Steering Committee of the Program to mobilize, support the construction and repair of houses for people with meritorious services, the poor, and people with housing difficulties of the district issued a document directing and agreeing to build new houses for Dan Lai people according to the design approved by the Department of Construction. The house model has an area of ​​50 m² with a support amount of 90 million VND.

For 20 houses being repaired in Khe Bung and Co Phat villages: Mon Son commune is requested to coordinate with the construction unit and households to calculate the quantity of materials and detailed cost to carry out repairs to ensure a minimum amount of 45 million VND/house.

Focus on mobilizing local resources (Police, Military, Border Guard, Forest Rangers, organizations...) and the community to actively join hands to support Dan Lai people in Khe Bung and Co Phat villages, striving to complete the construction and repair of houses for the two villages before August 15, 2025.
