In 2025, promoting the tradition and achievements of previous years, the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army and perform their duty to join the People's Public Security continues to be seriously, closely and effectively implemented by Do Son district. The implementation process always receives close leadership and direction from the City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee; professional guidance from the City Military Service Council, the City Military Command and the synchronous participation of the entire district political system. The work of registering, managing and approving citizens of military age is carried out in a disciplined, public, democratic and procedural manner. Thereby contributing to enhancing the responsibility of the Military Service Council at all levels, specialized agencies and localities, ensuring objectivity and transparency in the entire selection process.
The dissemination of legal documents related to military service and the obligation to join the People's Public Security has been widely deployed in many forms, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility of citizens, especially young people of military age. The work of military rear policies continues to be well implemented. In 2025, the district built a house for soldier Pham Hoang Nam (unit 250/BCH), and organized activities to visit and encourage new soldiers in the first month of training. The district military service council directed the wards to organize meetings, exchanges, and give gifts to young people before leaving for military service, with an average support level of 2.5 million VND/gift. The district People's Committee also allocated 1 million VND/gift for 77 citizens joining the army and supported 20 new soldiers in difficult circumstances, each gift worth 2 million VND. The 2025 military enlistment ceremony was organized by Do Son district solemnly, quickly, safely, completing 100% of the city's assigned quota, ensuring quality, and no compensation after the military enlistment. Of which, 77 citizens were selected, including quotas for the Army and People's Police. The quality of this year's military recruitment is higher than that of 2024, especially in terms of education and health.
Speaking at the Conference, Chairman of the District People's Committee Tran Khac Kien - Chairman of the District Military Service Council acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved in the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2025. At the same time, he emphasized that this is an important political task, demonstrating the sense of responsibility, awareness of building and protecting the Fatherland of Do Son youth. In order to well perform the task of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2026, the Chairman of the District People's Committee requested that all levels and sectors, especially the Military Service Councils at all levels, need to focus on propaganda and dissemination of the Law on Military Service, the Law on People's Public Security and documents related to military recruitment. Thereby, continuing to raise awareness and responsibility of the People and youth about the task of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation. In addition, the district needs to proactively grasp the source, organize a tight and regular preliminary selection of citizens, ensure accuracy, and avoid being passive in the implementation process. The steps of infiltration, verification of records, and medical examination must be carried out in accordance with procedures and laws, focusing on detecting and promptly handling violations. The Chairman of the District People's Committee also emphasized the need to strengthen coordination between agencies and units to strictly handle cases of evasion of military service, and at the same time resolutely fight against manifestations of favoritism and negativity in the performance of military recruitment tasks./.
