Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia military joint exercise

On November 17, the Military Training Department, General Command of the Royal Cambodian Army, in coordination with the working delegations of Vietnam and Laos, inspected preparations at the exercise areas, ready for the joint exercise between the armies of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

The delegation inspected and evaluated the training ground of the Royal Cambodian Gendarmerie Training Center (where the joint exercise opened and closed), the rescue exercise, the military medical exercise, the military sports exchange, etc. These are important areas for the exercise and the three countries' defense exchange activities to take place smoothly and successfully.

Military Zone 5 Newspaper quoted Lieutenant General Pen Sokretvithya, Director of the Military Training Department, General Command, Royal Cambodian Army, as saying that the exercise was an opportunity for the three countries' armies to exchange knowledge and experience, strengthen traditional friendship; promote cooperation between the defense ministries of Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam on the principle of maintaining independence, sovereignty and mutual respect. At the same time, this is an opportunity to strengthen international cooperation in the field of search and rescue; Military medicine among the three countries, contributing to improving the level of organization, coordination, and cooperation of forces participating in humanitarian assistance and international relief in the region and the world when required.

At the conference assigning tasks to the forces participating in the joint search and rescue exercise between the three armies on November 13, Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc, Commander of Military Region 5, emphasized: this is not only to carry out the defense foreign affairs task of the Vietnam People's Army in general, Military Region 5 in particular, but also to represent the image and position of the nation and people. Therefore, each soldier must clearly define his/her ideology and responsibility, grasp his/her tasks, strive to complete all assigned tasks well; strictly comply with regulations in foreign affairs; organize the mobile forces participating in the implementation of tasks in the neighboring country closely, thoughtfully, ensuring absolute safety in all aspects.

This exercise contributes to further strengthening the solidarity and friendship between the three countries of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, spreading the good image of revolutionary soldiers and the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era.
