“The 75th anniversary is a very important event for our two countries to organize well and solemnly. The relationship between the two sides is on the rise, so I believe that next year, high-level exchanges and contacts will become increasingly closer,” Ambassador Hung Ba expressed his hope.
2025 is also the year Vietnam will organize Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam . The Ambassador believes that the two countries will increase exchanges on Party building, national governance, promoting innovation, reform and opening up, and moving towards achieving the 100-year goals.
“Vietnam has set a goal of becoming a developing country with modern industry and high average income by 2030. Therefore, cooperation in the fields of green energy, clean energy, and digital economy will continue to be promoted in the coming time,” Mr. Hung Ba assessed.
Over the years, the understanding and affection between the people of the two countries have been increasingly enhanced, especially after two historic visits by the top leaders of the two Parties, the two sides have reached an important common understanding. That is to increase information and actively propagate the Vietnam-China friendship as well as the achievements of innovation, reform and opening up of each country, consolidate a more solid foundation of public opinion, and orient the building of consensus among the people on the development of friendly relations between the two countries.

China and Vietnam have agreed to promote the restoration of tourism and aviation cooperation. According to Ambassador Hung Ba, tourism and aviation will promote exchanges and travel between the people of the two countries, contributing to enhancing mutual understanding.
“In the first five months of the year, more than 1.8 million Chinese tourists visited Vietnam, and China continues to be one of the leading markets for tourists to Vietnam. This is a very positive sign. Many direct flights are being restored. I hope Vietnam will continue to create a safe and favorable tourism environment for international tourists, including Chinese tourists,” said Ambassador Hung Ba.
He also said that another very positive signal is that the number of Vietnamese tourists going to China is increasing, especially young people. “We welcome more Vietnamese tourists to China, especially young people, to learn about and experience China,” the Ambassador said.
Regarding agricultural import and export, the Ambassador said that last year, the value of Vietnamese agricultural products exported to China was 12.1 billion USD, of which durian reached more than 2.1 billion USD. Although the proportion of agricultural import and export is not large, it has a wide impact because it is related to the livelihood and daily life of millions of farmers.
“Therefore, China attaches great importance to and actively creates favorable conditions in this field. The two sides have signed a series of protocols on quarantine for a number of agricultural products, especially fresh fruits and vegetables, including the import of fresh coconuts from Vietnam. In the coming time, they will continue to promote the import of frozen durian,” Ambassador Hung Ba hopes that next year, agricultural product import and export will develop to a new level.
