Military Region 2 promotes studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style

On May 23, in Phu Tho, Military Region 2 held a conference to summarize 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo "On promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" in the Party Committee and armed forces of the Military Region.

Lieutenant General Pham Duc Duyen, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 2, stated that over the past 10 years, with a deep awareness of the position and role of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in the new period, the Military Region Party Committee has led and directed Party committees and organizations at all levels in the entire Party to thoroughly grasp and implement it closely and seriously. The Standing Committee of the Military Region 2 Party Committee and Party committees and commanders at all levels have organized the dissemination and study of this to all cadres and Party members.

Party committees and commanders at all levels have implemented the resolution, concretized and developed action plans and programs on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in conjunction with the practical tasks of each agency, unit and management object; identified key contents and breakthroughs, especially in amending working style and manners, building a regular routine and sense of discipline among cadres and soldiers; set goals, targets and measures for implementation in accordance with task requirements; promoted the implementation of the Campaign "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new period and the Emulation movement "Determined to Win", campaigns at all levels and sectors, contributing to creating a comprehensive strength and successfully completing all assigned tasks.

Military Region 2 awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 groups and 16 individuals and Certificates of Merit to 14 groups and 14 individuals.

Every year, each agency and unit under the Military Region selects 2 or more groups and 5 or more individuals as typical advanced models, examples of "Good people, good deeds" to promote on mass media. Units link the implementation of Directive No. 05-CT/TW, Directive No. 87-CT/QUTW with the implementation of the political tasks of the agency and unit, the breakthrough, the work of Party building and rectification, promoting the responsibility of setting examples of cadres and party members; improving the effectiveness and efficiency of inspection and supervision work; resolutely correcting and strictly handling violations in the implementation of Directive No. 05-CT/TW, Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW, Directive No. 87-CT/QUTW.

Accordingly, thanks to good organization, the movement "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" has contributed to the Military Region completing its tasks, the political and social situation in the area has basically stabilized; the economy has had a fairly good growth; national defense and security have been consolidated and enhanced; the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system, preventing and combating corruption and negativity has continued to be implemented resolutely and effectively, negative manifestations among cadres, party members and soldiers have been pushed back.

At the conference, delegates presented 6 papers contributing to the summary, affirming the need to continue implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo "On promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle".
