Hundreds of officers and soldiers raced against time to carry out their mission. Colonel Do Van Hung, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 5, was present at the scene to command the forces.

After listening to the situation report from the local forces, Colonel Do Van Hung requested the unit commander to conduct a survey, evaluate, and delineate potential landslide risk locations to ensure absolute safety for the forces on duty.

At the same time, Military Region 5 coordinated forces including hundreds of officers, soldiers, militia, self-defense forces, with the support of police forces to participate in the search for victims.


Overcoming dozens of kilometers of muddy forest roads in heavy rain, soldiers determined to search for victims buried by landslides in Hung Son commune, Da Nang city.

Units used sniffer dogs to search for people buried under layers of rock and mud, where motor vehicles had difficulty accessing.

In addition to mobilizing many specialized rescue vehicles, Military Region 5 used drones (flycam) to survey and delimit the search area.

Despite the unfavorable weather and difficult terrain, officers and soldiers of the units are making great efforts, racing against time to search for the missing victims. The supply of food, drinking water and medical equipment is also guaranteed to the best for the rescue team.
