Review, establish and adjust operating procedures, focusing on reservoirs with gates. It is necessary to take into account the impacts in upstream and downstream areas, operational responsibilities in emergency situations, ensuring safety of works and downstream areas.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, Binh Thuan currently has 40 irrigation reservoirs of various types in operation, including 18 large reservoirs, 10 medium reservoirs, and 12 small reservoirs. The reservoirs in operation have been effective, basically solving the water source for daily life, agricultural production, and other economic sectors of the province. However, the management and operation of reservoirs are currently facing challenges due to the impact of global climate change and economic development. Meanwhile, the increasing demand for water requires higher flood prevention requirements for downstream areas than originally designed.
