
The 3rd Singing Contest for People with Disabilities in the Central and Central Highlands regions has just taken place at the Nursing Center for People with Meritorious Services in the Central Region ( Da Nang City), organized by the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
This year's contest, with the theme "Singing from the heart", attracted 10 participating delegations including the Association for the Protection of Children's Rights and Poor Patients from the provinces and cities of Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Kon Tum, Gia Lai , Lam Dong with 130 contestants.
The participating units performed 29 songs and dances praising the glorious Party, the great Uncle Ho, the homeland and the country... bringing many emotions to the audience. The delegation of the Association for the Protection of the Disabled, Children's Rights and Poor Patients of Quang Nam province had 3 contestants participating with 3 performances that were invested in staging and seriously rehearsed.

With a soulful and emotional voice through the song "Listening to the sound of the ferry at night, missing Uncle Ho", contestant Truong Thi Bich Diem (Quang Nam group) won the Gold Prize of the contest and will participate in the national final contest, scheduled to take place on June 12 and 13 in Hanoi.
The Quang Nam delegation also had a duet performance by Ms. Truong Thi Bich Diem and Mr. Nguyen Van Duc, winning the Silver Prize, and Mr. Hua Van Cuong, with his solo performance, winning the Encouragement Prize. The Association for the Protection of the Disabled, Children's Rights and Poor Patients of Quang Nam Province was awarded a certificate of merit by the Organizing Committee for actively participating in the contest.

The contest is an opportunity to honor the talents of people with disabilities, while creating a healthy playground for people with disabilities to express themselves, assert themselves, and confidently rise up in life.
