On the morning of May 8, Quang Nam Central General Hospital (located in Nui Thanh District, Quang Nam) announced that the hospital's doctors had just saved the life of a 16-year-old male student who had stopped breathing due to drowning.
After a long period of monitoring at the hospital, the patient's health has now completely recovered.
Previously, at around 4:00 p.m. on April 20, the Emergency Department of Quang Nam Central General Hospital received patient LAT (16 years old, in Nui Thanh Town, Nui Thanh District) in a coma, respiratory failure, acute pulmonary edema, and respiratory arrest.
After a long period of monitoring and treatment, patient T's health has now stabilized.

Immediately, doctors performed endotracheal intubation to support breathing. The patient was then transferred to the Intensive Care - Anti-Poison Department for intensive resuscitation, respiratory control with a ventilator, bronchoscopy, maximum lung protection, treatment of secondary pneumonia, brain protection, circulation adjustment, water and electrolytes.
More than a day later, T. passed the critical stage and her breathing began to stabilize, her health gradually improved from the 4th day. After about 2 weeks of monitoring and treatment, T.'s health stabilized again.
According to family members, on the afternoon of April 20, T. and his friends went to Rang beach (Nui Thanh district) to swim and unfortunately drowned. Upon discovering the incident, local people rushed to the rescue and brought T. to shore in a comatose, cyanotic, and stopped breathing state.
After first aid, people took T. to the hospital for emergency care.
