According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Nam province, as of May 12, the whole province still had 2,769 temporary and dilapidated houses out of 11,523 houses that have not been implemented. To fulfill the commitment to the Prime Minister, the province is mobilizing all resources and drastically implementing solutions to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses before September 1.

At the fourth meeting of the Central Steering Committee for the Program to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses, Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung said that Quang Nam is a province with a high number of poor and near-poor households, leading to a huge need for support to eliminate temporary houses. However, with the drastic participation of the entire political system, the province is determined to complete the progress as committed to the Prime Minister.

Up to now, the whole province still has 2,769 temporary, dilapidated, unfinished houses, of which 316 are for meritorious people; 1,137 are for poor households; and 1,316 are for near-poor households.

The province pledged to complete 313 houses for people with meritorious services before July 27, and complete the entire program before September 1, the time of the province's merger.

According to Mr. Le Van Dung, Quang Nam has mobilized nearly 100 billion VND from various sources to support the implementation of the Program. At the same time, the province also entrusted 50 billion VND through the Social Policy Bank to lend to poor households who do not have enough resources to build houses.

The province will continue to mobilize the remaining funding of 34 billion VND from various sources and complete the mobilization in May 2025. In particular, to support mountainous and border areas with difficulties, the province will continue to maintain shock teams to support working days, contributing to removing obstacles and speeding up the actual implementation progress.
