Immediately after being released, the big-headed turtle quickly adapted, moved nimbly, and found shelter, in accordance with the biological characteristics of the turtle species.

Big-headed turtles belong to group IB, a group of endangered, precious, rare wild animals, prioritized for protection; exploitation and use of specimens exploited from nature for commercial purposes are strictly prohibited. This species has very high scientific and conservation value and is facing the risk of extinction in the wild.

The big-headed turtle was handed over to the Forest Protection Department of Region XIV by Mr. Mai Xuan Dung, Nam Hoan Don village, Ba To commune on September 27.
