Mr. Hoang Phi Truong, Vice Chairman of Hai Ha District People's Committee, Quang Ninh Province, has just signed Document No. 275/TB-BTC on postponing the organization of the Tra Duong Hoa Festival.
Accordingly, this festival will be postponed to October 2024, instead of September 14-15 as previously planned.
On September 7, super typhoon No. 3 ( Yagi ) made landfall in Quang Ninh province, causing heavy damage. After the storm, Hai Ha district is focusing on overcoming the damage to quickly stabilize people's lives, ensure traffic, electricity, water, telecommunications, and the environment.

The postponement is to ensure the conditions for organizing the 2024 Tra Duong Hoa festival with the best image, promoting and introducing the brand of Duong Hoa tea products, natural landscapes, ecology, and beauty of tea hills, attracting a large number of people to participate, contributing to promoting tourism development.
Previously, the 2024 Tea Street Flower Festival will take place on September 14-15 at the tea field in village 8, Quang Long commune, Hai Ha district.
This is the first year the festival has been organized by Hai Ha district, aiming to promote and introduce the history of formation and development of the Duong Hoa tea brand to tourists.
Within the framework of the opening ceremony of the 2024 Tea Street Flower Festival, there will be the following activities: Headwater procession ceremony, ancient tea tree procession; "birth" ritual of watering tea trees and giving tea seedlings to the young generation of the tea region; tea making art performance; traditional tea picking and manual tea roasting competition.
The festival includes cultural and sports activities: Cycling race and group running to explore tea hills; folk dance performance on tea fields; beautiful photo exhibition of Tra Duong Hoa Cuong region; competition to process and introduce green tea-flavored dishes; visit the space to introduce Tra Duong Hoa products, OCOP products, culinary culture...
In addition to the tea hills, visitors can also visit, study and experience the culture of the Dao ethnic group; high-class beach and island resorts combined with golf, sightseeing and ecological research; mountain lake resorts, combined with weekend entertainment and sightseeing and experiencing community culture at Truc Bai Son Lake.
Hai Ha district is the largest tea growing area in Quang Ninh province with about 800 hectares of tea area, of which the famous Duong Hoa tea tree has a development history of 60 years. Duong Hoa tea is one of the 12 main OCOP products of Quang Ninh province, which has been assessed to meet standards, granted codes, barcodes, packaging designs, labels, and established trademark registration rights.
