The National Assembly will consider and pass the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Advertising Law at the 9th Session.

On the afternoon of May 4, at the National Assembly House, Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Tung chaired a press conference on the expected agenda of the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

Attending the press conference were leaders of several National Assembly Committees, representatives of the Ethnic Council , representatives of the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, leaders of Departments, Bureaus and units under the National Assembly Office; relevant agencies; together with representatives of domestic news agencies and press and foreign press correspondents stationed in Vietnam.

Reporting on the expected agenda and content of the Session, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office Vu Minh Tuan said that the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly will solemnly open on May 5, 2025, and is expected to close on June 30, in the form of a concentrated meeting at the National Assembly House, Hanoi . The 9th Session will be held in 2 phases: Phase 1: from May 5 to May 29, 2025; Phase 2: from June 11 and is expected to close on June 30. The total working time of the National Assembly is expected to be 37 days.

The 9th session of the 15th National Assembly is a session with many important contents, implementing the Resolution of the 11th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee - a historic conference, discussing historical decisions in the new revolutionary period; at the same time considering and deciding to amend and supplement a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution; considering and approving 34 laws, 11 resolutions, giving opinions on 06 other draft laws; groups of contents on economy, society, supervising important issues...

In particular, the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Advertising is one of 34 laws expected to be considered and approved at the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly.

Regarding the requirements for propaganda work on the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Advertising at the session: propaganda on the main contents of the draft Law, such as: Amending the concept of advertising product transporters, supplementing regulations on the rights and obligations of advertising product transporters in general and advertising product transporters who are influential people; Amending regulations on requirements for advertising content; Amending regulations on advertising area in print newspapers, advertising duration on television; Adding regulations on requirements for online advertising activities; responsibilities of organizations and individuals when participating in online advertising, providing cross-border advertising services and the process of preventing and removing violating advertisements; Amending regulations on outdoor advertising activities; Adjusting a number of specific regulations to ensure consistency with the relevant legal system.

Regarding press work, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office Vu Minh Tuan noted that press agencies need to closely follow the Project on organizing information, press and propaganda work and the Outline for propaganda on the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly. In particular, for information and propaganda work on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution, press agencies need to note that amending and supplementing the Constitution is an extremely important task, the amount of work to be implemented is very large, there are many innovations in the way of doing things, but the implementation time is not much and must be very urgent, ensuring completion before June 30, 2025, effective from July 1, 2025.
