Could you please evaluate the most prominent features of the relationship between the two countries over the past nearly 75 years?

The relationship between Poland and Vietnam is very special because the two countries have had diplomatic relations for a long time, in 2025 it will be 75 years. There has never been a conflict between the two countries, there has always been a peaceful and friendly relationship, regardless of the time.

Both countries have gone through the harsh years of war, so there is a very strong sense of solidarity, even in very difficult times. I think all of that has brought us closer together. The Vietnamese students who have studied in Poland have played an important role in connecting the two countries. A few years ago, when Poles came to Hanoi , they could easily find Vietnamese people speaking Polish fluently.

The two countries have good relations in politics, parliament and people-to-people exchanges. The Vietnamese community in Poland has many outstanding marks, they have integrated into our society, they are very Vietnamese but at the same time very Polish. They speak Polish, they work in Poland and are considered typical of the most successful immigrant community in Poland.

Despite such close ties, we always look forward to better things through closer cooperation in many different fields, and wish to promote economic cooperation to bring benefits to the people and societies of both countries. This is absolutely a goal that the two countries can achieve together in the future.

It is known that the two countries are preparing for Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit to Poland next year. Could you please share more about this event and your expectations for the visit?

The main objective of my visit to Vietnam this time is to prepare for Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit to Poland next month (January 2025). On this occasion, I met with representatives of relevant ministries and branches, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to discuss issues related to the visit as well as cooperation opportunities between the two countries in the coming time, in areas such as energy, mining, agriculture, technology, etc.

I would like to reveal that, during the upcoming visit to Poland by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, many cooperation agreements between the two countries will be signed. To make that roadmap smooth, both sides are making great efforts. On this occasion, a number of Vietnamese companies will come to Poland to meet with Polish companies to discuss cooperation opportunities. Enterprises need to take the initiative to expand their cooperation networks and the role of the government is to facilitate, support and encourage.

In 2025, I hope that the exchange of business delegations will be further promoted, not only Vietnamese businesses will come to Poland but Polish businesses will also come to Vietnam to learn about the market as well as fields and cooperation opportunities in areas of need.

Polish companies are now interested in developing the energy sector, including the coal sector. Poland is a major producer of coal mining machinery. We are also interested in some green technologies, Poland is trying to build offshore wind farms; digital technology cooperation with the desire to make people's lives easier.

A digital society is also what Vietnam is aiming for. Poland has had experience in the field of digitalization since the Covid-19 pandemic. During this period, Polish people had electronic prescriptions, which means people can get medicine without seeing a doctor, along with a number of other conveniences.

Vietnam is preparing to enter a new era, an era of growth. How do you evaluate Vietnam's current and future international role and position?

Vietnam is growing very strongly (in the economic field about 7%/year) and plays a very important role in the world affairs today. By the end of this decade, Vietnam will become one of the top 30 economies in the world and I think Vietnam can achieve that. Vietnam has a supportive government, the people are always hard-working and determined.

Vietnam is modernizing its country day by day, and we fully support this direction. Vietnam is considered an extremely efficient economy. Many foreign people and businesses want to have business connections with Vietnam.

I understand that Vietnam is planning a detailed and systematic high-speed train line between North and South. This is a really good idea. We are also considering the implementation of a high-speed train line in Poland. So it is clear that the two countries share ideas about progressive development and constant movement. A new era is opening before our eyes, we need to change and approach higher technology.

Poland considers Vietnam one of its most important partners in Asia. We are fortunate that we have been friends for nearly 75 years. That good foundation gives us the confidence to act together faster, achieve more effective cooperation results, and seize more opportunities in the world.

Last weekend, a leading US technology company - NVIDIA signed an important cooperation agreement with Vietnam related to the digital technology field. Technology is also a spearhead in Vietnam's development to achieve new goals. What do you think about this direction and prospects?

Yeah, I think a lot of countries want to be the center of the digital economy. So there's competition there.

Not just Vietnam! Many countries want to become the world's technology center. What impresses me is that the US and Vietnam, from former enemies, have become very important partners - Comprehensive Strategic Partners. That is very meaningful, proving that "nothing is impossible" and further demonstrating the importance of Vietnam. Major US companies have chosen Vietnam to invest, including NVIDIA. Therefore, I believe that Vietnam will have important changes in the digital field in the near future.

I see that the whole country of Vietnam is hard-working, highly skilled, and has a strong will. Vietnam is on the right track to development. Vietnam has all the necessary elements to succeed. The presence of NVIDIA in Vietnam proves that Vietnam is thinking in a very modern way about the future of the country. Learning from the past and always thinking about the future. This is the essential formula for success.
