Launching digital map of Ho Chi Minh City integrating multi-industry data, can replace Google Map

To use the digital map of Ho Chi Minh City, people can access it at (https://bando.tphcm.gov.vn/gis-portal). The digital map integrates data from departments, branches, districts and counties in the city, and can replace popular map applications such as Openstreet Map, Google Map...

Ho Chi Minh City digital map has just officially come into operation.

The Ho Chi Minh City digital map currently has a number of functions such as: quick search for locations, landmarks, GPS positioning and providing detailed directions. Thanks to that, users can plan trips, determine optimal routes, discover new experiences at the destination or during the journey.

When using Ho Chi Minh City Digital Map, users can also share information about locations with others via popular social networking applications such as Facebook, Zalo, Twitter, Mail, Telegram, QR... for convenience in sharing information with colleagues, partners or the community.

Currently, users can quickly search for locations divided into groups such as: Utilities (banks, shopping malls, supermarkets, etc.), transportation (gas stations, bus stations, bridges, etc.), education (schools of all levels, Department of Education), healthcare (hospitals, clinics, etc.), offices, businesses.

Many useful utilities are also integrated on the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Map.

The digital map also provides real-time traffic information, helping to guide people to avoid traffic jams and adjust travel schedules. On this digital map, data will be updated regularly from official information sources to ensure that there is always the latest and most accurate information about Ho Chi Minh City.

It is known that previously, the Department of Information and Communications advised the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to issue regulations on operating and exploiting data of the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Map.

Priority is given to connecting agencies and units that have specialized professional systems in place to use, share, and create separate data layers to serve management work; next is deploying a digital map data storage system for the entire city on a shared data warehouse, then sharing data for agencies and units that need to exploit according to regulations approved by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
