Music documentary 'Healing Wounds' released

The healed wounds is inspired by the musical story of wounds told in the Storii concert 01 - The healed wounds which took place very successfully in August 2022.

Director Lan Nguyen (who made the documentary Color of Withered Grass about musician Tran Tien) followed the entire journey of the show and filmed, depicting the "wounds" of 4 special characters (social activist Nguyen Thi Van, musician Ngoc Le, conservationist Nguyen Van Thai, director - doctor - war reporter Nguyen Thi Xuan Phuong) with different lives, seemingly unrelated, but there is an invisible thread connecting them into a story about healed wounds.

Social activist Nguyen Thi Van - a woman in a small body carrying countless physical and mental wounds that have followed her since birth, but her bright smile has never faded, like a light guiding the "mission" to protect the weak and write her own "fairy tale" story. She shared: "The wounds that happen in life are necessary, just like in movies, if there are no villains, how can there be heroes?".

Musician Ngoc Le

Musician Ngoc Le returned to Vietnam after many years away from his homeland (singer Phuong Thao's husband), once again standing on the stage of Hoa Binh Theater, Ho Chi Minh City at Storii concert 01 , to see again all the wounds that created his music and cherish and be grateful for it. He said: "When looking at life with many pains and also thousands of joys, we see that life is so complete".

Conservationist Nguyen Van Thai

Conservationist Nguyen Van Thai - a son of the mountains and forests, founder of Save Vietnam's Wildlife; Vice President of the World Pangolin Conservation Association; and also the second Vietnamese to receive the prestigious Goldman Prize for the environment. He said he has spent much of his life tirelessly healing the wounds of forests, of wildlife, and to relieve his own great pain.

Director Xuan Phuong

Director - doctor - war reporter Nguyen Thi Xuan Phuong - the person who deeply engraved and carried within herself the great wounds of the country, is now 94 years old, her hair has turned platinum. With a deep voice, the veteran director tells about the "museum of her life" with her eyes still shining with clarity: "All the most tragic things in life, if we have peace, we have everything!".

Singer Ha Anh Tuan

Singer Ha Anh Tuan appears in the music documentary "Healed Wounds " as a narrator, to connect the emotions throughout the characters. Through his confessions, his songs, and the silences on stage, the audience seems to see his own wounds. "When looking at the wounds, it is the moment when the pain has passed its peak. At that time, the wounds become assets, treasures of each person" - Ha Anh Tuan shared. The music written specifically for the story "Healed Wounds" comes from musicians: Ngoc Le, Viet Anh, Duc Tri, Pham Hai Au, Ho Tien Dat...

The movie The healed wounds will be released exclusively on NETFLIX platform in Southeast Asia from December 23, 2023.
