On February 17, the Department of Home Affairs of Lam Dong province said that it had sent a document requesting the People's Committee of Dam Rong district to review and report on the fact that more than 100 teachers in Da Tong commune have not received subsidies according to Decree 76 (Decree 76/2019/ND-CP) for more than a year, since the commune was recognized as a new rural commune.

In the document, the Department of Home Affairs of Lam Dong province affirmed that teachers in Da Tong commune, although living in an area recognized as a new rural commune, are still eligible for subsidies according to Decree 76. Therefore, the payment of subsidies to teachers is in accordance with regulations.

Previously, Tuoi Tre Online reported that teachers at 4 schools in Da Tong commune would not receive subsidies from January 2024.

Decree 76 stipulates support policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and salaried employees in the armed forces working in areas with particularly difficult socio -economic conditions, including teachers. According to the decree, cadres, civil servants and public employees working in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions will receive a subsidy of 70% of their salary.

It is worth mentioning that in Da Tong commune, there are 5 schools of all levels, but only teachers of Da Tong High School receive subsidies according to Decree 76, while teachers of the other 4 schools do not receive them.

According to the Department of Home Affairs of Lam Dong province, Da Tong commune was recognized as a new rural commune in 2023, but there are still some extremely difficult villages according to Decree 76. Therefore, the Department of Home Affairs requested the People's Committee of Dam Rong district to review and report on the implementation of Decree 76 in the district (including reporting on the implementation status, progress and results of resolving the above-mentioned voters' recommendations) to the Department of Home Affairs before February 24, 2025.

Also according to the Department of Home Affairs of Lam Dong province, in previous documents responding to the People's Committee of Dam Rong district, the department has guided and identified teachers, civil servants and public employees working in hamlets in Da Tong commune as eligible for subsidies under Decree 76.
