Gas leak at kindergarten in Thai Binh, more than 200 teachers and students evacuated

A gas leak in the kitchen area of ​​Thuy Thanh Kindergarten (Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province) caused a fire, forcing many teachers and students to evacuate to ensure safety.

On the afternoon of April 21, speaking with VietNamNet reporters, the leader of the People's Committee of Thuy Thanh commune (Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh ) confirmed that there was a small fire in the kitchen area of ​​Thuy Thanh commune Kindergarten.

Specifically, at around 8:30 a.m. the same day, a gas leak suddenly occurred in the kitchen area of ​​the Commune Kindergarten, followed by a fire.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue team quickly arrived at the scene to handle the fire and prevent it from spreading.

After about 30 minutes, the fire was completely controlled. The incident damaged some kitchen appliances, causing about 15 million VND in damage, but there were no human casualties.

“The fire was small due to a gas leak, not a big fire as spread on social media. Authorities quickly controlled and extinguished the fire after about 30 minutes. At the time of the fire, more than 200 students were quickly evacuated by teachers to ensure safety,” said the leader of Thuy Thanh commune.

Evacuating before the hill collapsed, 142 teachers and students in Lao Cai were lucky to escape. Discovering that the Middle and High School No. 3 of Muong Hum commune was at risk of landslides from the hill behind, the authorities promptly brought 142 teachers and students of the school to safety.
