Upon receiving the information, the local authorities mobilized dozens of police and militia to urgently arrive at Con hamlet to evacuate people. When the authorities arrived, most of the houses were 1.5 meters deep in water. Many elderly people and children were carried by militia and police to take shelter in a safe area.

Previously, to cope with storm No. 13, the People's Committee of Sa Huynh Ward had evacuated 600 households with about 3,000 people to safe shelters. These are households with unstable houses and located right in the coastal area.
