Sabeco continuously enters the Top 10 prestigious beverage companies in 2024

Saigon Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation ( Sabeco ) has just been named in the Top 10 Prestigious Companies in the Food - Beverage Industry in 2024, alcoholic beverage industry group. This is the 8th consecutive year that Sabeco has been in this ranking.

Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company has just announced the Top 10 prestigious companies in the food and beverage industry in 2024. The ranking is published annually, based on scientific and objective principles with 3 main criteria: financial capacity; Media reputation; Survey of research subjects and stakeholders.

2023 is considered a year full of fluctuations when the world situation continues to develop in a complex and unpredictable manner. The Russia-Ukraine conflict has not ended, and the conflict between Hamas and Israel in the Middle East has caused the world economic picture to sink deeper into crisis and inflation. Input prices have increased, greatly affecting our country's economy due to difficulties in input materials for production, causing disruptions in the supply chain.

In this volatile context, the Vietnamese Food and Beverage (F&B) industry is not out of the loop. The increase in input material costs due to the global supply chain crisis has put a lot of pressure on businesses in the industry. The supply of raw materials from abroad has become difficult, increasing production costs, thereby affecting commodity prices and profit margins.

However, in the face of the above challenges and barriers, Vietnamese F&B businesses are still resilient in facing the challenges, finding ways to adjust strategies, optimize production processes and seek alternative solutions to minimize external impacts. These efforts not only help businesses overcome difficult times, but also create momentum for growth in 2023.

Sabeco 's efforts

Sabeco has maintained stable growth over many years. In 2023, the company recorded impressive revenue - 30,461.37 billion VND, profit after tax reached 4,117 billion VND.

In 2024, Sabeco continues to set higher targets with a revenue plan of VND 34,397 billion, up 12.9% over the same period, and an expected profit after tax of VND 4,580 billion, up 7.6% over 2023. Business results in the first two quarters of 2024 show that Sabeco is on the right track with first quarter revenue increasing by 15.6% to VND 7,183.5 billion and profit after tax increasing by 2% to VND 1,023.7 billion. In the second quarter of 2024, revenue reached VND 8,086.3 billion and profit after tax increased by 9% to VND 1,318.9 billion. Of which, gross profit margin improved from 29.9% to 30.2%.

In the second quarter of 2024, Sabeco recorded revenue of VND8,086.3 billion, equal to 97.3% over the same period, and profit after tax increased by 9% to VND1,318.9 billion. In which, gross profit margin improved from 29.9% to 30.2%.

It is known that from the fourth quarter of 2022 to present, the profit of VND 1,318.9 billion in the second quarter of 2024 is the highest profit in the last 7 consecutive quarters that Sabeco has recorded.

Based on the opportunities and challenges, Sabeco plans its business in 2024, including focusing resources on brand building and market development activities, including building brand, product and distribution strategies, and consumption in line with consumer trends, in parallel with comprehensively structuring the distribution system in a professional direction, increasing efficiency and effectively supporting control by channel and product segment.
