The Samsung S Pen Creator Edition is a stylus for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, designed primarily for drawing and writing. The new stylus features a thicker design that is said to be more comfortable, as well as a new nib that fits snugly into the body. The new model is available only in white, and the only button is for interacting with software. The device was first announced in July alongside the Galaxy Tab S9, but has only recently gone on sale for $99 in the US.
Samsung says it's the latest extension to users' creativity, taking inspiration from every stroke and turning ideas into reality with the most tilt-sensitive S Pen ever.
S Pen Creator Edition inherits almost the entire design of Apple Pencil
The S Pen Creator Edition looks like the Apple Pencil. With the second-generation Apple Pencil, the iPad maker has created a product that fits comfortably in the hand and feels quite natural to use. Many Samsung tablets also come with an S Pen in the box, but it's generally a bit smaller, making it uncomfortable to use. So the Creator Edition is expected to fix that problem.
However, according to 9to5google , the product lacks many of the smart features that Samsung has added to the S Pen line over the years, notably not supporting Air Commands because this product does not have a battery. The product also does not support the Galaxy Z Fold.
Price is also a notable issue, while the S Pen with integrated battery that comes with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 line is only $60, while with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 it is $55.
