Samsung confirms upcoming special edition foldable phone

Since 2020, Samsung has maintained a regular launch schedule of two foldable screen phones, the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip.

However, this year, the Korean technology company is expected to introduce a special version, most likely called Galaxy Z Fold7 Ultra or Galaxy Z Ultra.

This information appeared after Samsung just released a short video , revealing the new product about to be launched.

Although no specific details were revealed, Samsung confirmed that the product will be called Ultra. The video also shows that this will be a butterfly-shaped folding screen phone, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold line.

The "Ultra" label suggests that this will be a premium device, even superior to current Galaxy Z Fold versions.

That’s why the next chapter of Galaxy will deliver a seamless experience that blends art and engineering to enhance everyday interactions,” Samsung teased about the product.

These leaks suggest that Samsung's upcoming Ultra foldable phone will feature a larger display and significant upgrades to its photography capabilities.

According to sources from technology site SamMobile, Galaxy Z Ultra will likely be equipped with Qualcomm's highest-end Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 200 megapixel main camera, 10 megapixel telephoto camera (supports 3x optical zoom) and 12 megapixel wide-angle camera. The product is said to integrate a 4,400mAh battery, supporting 25W fast charging.

Notably, the device is rumored to be an impressive 4.2mm thin when unfolded, making it one of the thinnest phones on the market. The back of the product may be made of titanium to help reduce weight.

Some sources also say that Samsung will integrate the S Pen with the Galaxy Z Ultra, a feature currently only available on the Galaxy S Ultra versions. Currently, Galaxy Z Fold users must buy the S Pen separately if they need to use it.

Up to now, all information about Samsung's Ultra foldable smartphone is still just speculation. Most likely, this product will be introduced with the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 duo in July or August.
