On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), Ho Chi Minh City is the locality where many of the most important events take place, especially the Parade with the participation of Party and State leaders. Many international guests and a large number of Ho Chi Minh City residents and people across the country will also enthusiastically participate in the national reunification festival.

Therefore, ensuring safe, stable and continuous electricity for these important events is a "command from the heart", the most important task from the highest leader of the electricity industry to each electrician of the city named after Uncle Ho.
Reporting at the meeting of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the electricity supply situation during the April 30-May 1 holidays and the dry months of 2025 on April 22, EVN General Director Nguyen Anh Tuan said that the Power Corporations directed the Power Companies to arrange backup generators to ensure electricity at key locations where major political and cultural activities take place in provinces and centrally-run cities.
Particularly in Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) has proactively developed a plan to ensure stable power supply for 33 events and programs taking place in key areas early and from afar.
Accordingly, each plan is assigned forces, prepared for situations and organized drills to ensure effectiveness and timely handling of arising situations.
At Saigon Power Company (PC Saigon), a unit under Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC), for more than a month now, despite the hot weather, the workers of the Company's Power Grid Management Team have been on site day and night to prepare for ensuring electricity for areas where parades and cultural and artistic events will be held.
Despite the hard work, sweat drenching the protective clothing, bright smiles are always present on the faces of the workers of the Power Grid Management Team. For them, the task of maintaining the electricity on the national reunification day is a sacred duty and a command of the workers' hearts.

Honored to participate in ensuring electricity for the national reunification anniversary, Mr. Le Trung Truc, Deputy Head of the Power Grid Management Team (QLLĐ) of Saigon Electricity Company (PC Saigon) shared: "I am very proud to be an Electricity worker participating in ensuring electricity for the great festival. All the brothers in the team are highly focused, absolutely not subjective to avoid even the smallest negligence."
At another key area - Tan Son Nhat airport, Tan Binh Electricity Company has also prepared early plans to ensure electricity, especially for the T3 terminal area that was inaugurated on April 19.
Mr. Nguyen Cao Tri, a worker at Tan Binh Electricity Company, shared that despite the large workload and high work intensity, everyone clearly defines their responsibilities.
Accordingly, the unit has fully prepared spare materials and equipment. The participants thoroughly rehearsed the scenarios. At the same time, they have stepped up propaganda and mobilized people to pay attention to protecting the safety corridor of the power grid, not to use paper fireworks, glitter fireworks of all kinds near power lines, power stations, etc.
Realizing the extremely important political task of ensuring electricity supply during this great holiday, (EVNHCMC has actively prepared since mid-2024.
During the recent inspection by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and EVN on the preparation of power supply for the great festival on April 9, it was shown that EVNHCMC has fully prepared 220kV power sources, power sources from separate 110kV stations, medium voltage grid with 3-4 power sources, in addition to diesel power sources and backup UPS to ensure power supply in all situations.

In the capital city of Hanoi, the Hanoi Electricity Corporation (EVNHANOI) has developed a plan to ensure safe and continuous electricity, with backup power for venues where festivals and cultural and sports activities take place. Particularly important venues are supplied with electricity from two grid sources, or have backup generators.
According to EVNHANOI representative, the Corporation organized nearly 4,900 shifts to handle incidents and repair electricity during the holiday.
With a high sense of responsibility and careful preparation, units of Vietnam Electricity Group are ready for the task of maintaining the electricity flow, accompanying the whole country towards a complete and meaningful holiday.
