Ready for Asian Women's Beach Volleyball Championship at Tuy Hoa beach

On the afternoon of April 21, in Tuy Hoa city (Phu Yen), the local Organizing Committee coordinated with the Vietnam Volleyball Federation to hold a press conference to inform about the 2025 Asian Women's Beach Volleyball Championship. This is a major international sporting event, held for the first time in Phu Yen, taking place from April 22-28 (main competition from April 25-28) at the beach next to the L'Aurora Phu Yen project area (end of Tran Nhan Tong street, Binh Kien commune, Tuy Hoa city).

The tournament is organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen in coordination with the Vietnam Volleyball Federation and Cong May Group Joint Stock Company.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Le Hoang Phu, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen, Head of the local Organizing Committee, said: "Up to this point, all preparations have been completed, from facilities, international standard competition grounds, to plans to welcome athletes, arrange accommodation, logistics, medical care , security... Everything is ready for a successful and safe tournament."

On the side of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Head of the Volleyball Department, highly appreciated the preparation of Phu Yen province, saying that the local Organizing Committee had very good, thoughtful and professional coordination, showing determination and a high sense of responsibility in hosting a continental tournament.

This year’s tournament brings together 22 women’s teams from 10 Asian countries and territories, including many strong teams with top-class players in the continent. The host team Vietnam is represented by 4 teams, including 8 core athletes of the national team, who are in the preparation phase for the upcoming SEA Games. This is an opportunity for athletes to gain experience and compete with international standards.

As one of the official tournaments of the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the 2025 Asian Women's Beach Volleyball Championship is of great significance in raising the position of Vietnamese volleyball on the regional sports map. At the same time, this is also an opportunity to introduce the image of Phu Yen tourism and sports to international friends.

Communication for the tournament is being promoted on many platforms. VTVcab will broadcast all matches live. The matches will be broadcast and linked on the websites of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, the Asian Volleyball Federation and the International Volleyball Federation, helping domestic and foreign audiences to fully watch the tournament.
