Lots of laughter for Tet

These days, at stages such as: Small Stage Drama Theater (5B), IDECAF Drama Theater, Hong Van Drama Theater, Thanh Nien Drama Theater, Thien Dang Theater, Young World Theater, Truong Hung Minh Art Theater... actors are busy practicing on the stage to prepare for Tet season plays. Cai Luong stages are also full of enthusiasm with new plays.

Thien Dang Stage is currently rehearsing the play "Internal Affair or Adultery" by author and director Le Hoang Giang; IDECAF Drama Theater will light up the Tet season with 4 plays: "Tam Cam Dai Chien", "The Golden Tray" (director Hung Lam), "Dream Island" (director Dinh Toan), "The House Without Men" (reproduced from the script by the late director Vu Minh).

IDECAF Drama Theater's producer Huynh Anh Tuan said that director Hoang Duan is busy rehearsing the Vietnamese historical play "Duc Thuong Cong Ta Quan Le Van Duyet", script by Pham Van Quy; and Meritorious Artist Bach Long will stage the Vietnamese historical opera "Nu Dai De Me Linh", about the characters of Hai Ba Trung.

The Youth Drama Theater located in the Youth Cultural House is also gradually completing two new plays: "Seven Spiders" and "Queen of Egypt" to light up this Tet season. The spirit is that the plays at the Youth Drama Theater will exploit refreshing laughter for Tet holidays.

This year, Hong Van Drama Stage "played big" when it brought to Ben Thanh Theater the Vietnamese historical musical "The Love Story of Thang Long" co-invested by People's Artist Hong Van and Meritorious Artist Kim Tu Long, gathering a cast of famous actors. In addition, Hong Van Stage (at the Student Cultural House) has the plays "Miss Five, Uncle Ten", "Wild Flowers"...

The World Youth Stage will present 4 plays during Tet: "Who is awake here" (author - director Nguyen Bao Ngoc), "The King of Beauty", "The Devil's Heart" (director Nguyen Huu Tien) and "The Shadow of a Man" (director Cao Tan Loc).

According to People's Artist Tran Minh Ngoc, compared to many previous years, this year in the midst of many economic difficulties, more than 20 new plays were presented, which is a remarkable achievement in terms of the efforts of the theaters.

Keep the "life" of the new book

Artist Binh Tinh said that this Tet season, Huynh Long Stage will be located at Hong Lien Theater (District 6, Ho Chi Minh City) with 2 new plays: "Tu Trang Dau Tan Khoa" and "Hoang Hau Hai Que Huong", both directed by People's Artist Huu Quoc. "In the recent past, the quality of the plays has always been of special concern to Huynh Long Stage, so the Tet plays have been requested by the audience to be re-performed after Tet. Therefore, maintaining the "lifespan" of the new plays is also the criterion of the 2 plays released during this year's Tet season" - artist Binh Tinh expressed.

Chi Linh - Van Ha Stage also opened the spring with the play "Kim Ngoc Luong Duyen", performed at Tran Huu Trang Theater and also set a goal of extending the "lifespan" of the new play.

According to People's Artist Hong Van, this year, in addition to presenting new plays, there will be old plays that are still popular so that the audience can choose. Specifically, Hong Van Drama Theater will still perform two plays, "Bong Canh Co" and "Nguoi Vo Ma" because they still attract audiences. Similarly, Hoang Thai Thanh Drama Theater, in addition to the main play "Lac O Day Song", will still perform old plays that are popular with the public.

Truong Hung Minh Art Theater invests in Tet plays with famous actors alongside young actors to give them a chance to shine. 5B Drama Theater, in addition to fun Tet plays, also has plays for children. This Tet season will be the play "Toy World" by author Vuong Huyen Co.

This year, Tran Huu Trang Theater has Tet plays: "Ben Cau Det Lua" and "Kach San Hao Hoa" with young actors who have been trained by director - People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau to perform good roles.

"In addition to Stage 5B, IDECAF Theater will also launch the program "Fairy Tale" with the play "The Adventures of a Doll Boy" during Tet, promising to sell out tickets.
