Inspiring peace- loving peoples
Speaking to VNA, Dr. Alisher Mukhamedov, Chairman of the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association, said he still clearly remembers April 30, 1975, when Uzbekistan television reported Vietnam's victory, ending the 30-year struggle for independence, freedom, and national unification.
Dr. Alisher said that his father, Mr. Rustam Mukhamedov, the youngest member of the delegation of the Soviet Prosecutor General's Office in Vietnam in 1963, had the honor of meeting President Ho Chi Minh . During the conversation with the delegation, President Ho Chi Minh said that when the war ended, the Vietnamese people would build a just and prosperous society that he dreamed of.

According to Dr. Alisher, Vietnam's victory has become an example for forces fighting for peace, independence and progress, inspiring many other countries.
Vietnam's post-1975 development period once again became a model of success, the Communist Party's skillful leadership as well as its efforts to rely on itself with a skillful and flexible foreign policy.
Currently, Vietnam is one of the most dynamically developing countries in the world, actively participating in international organizations, including the United Nations, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).
Dr Alisher asserted that after 50 years of national reunification, Vietnam has “changed dramatically”. The economic and political changes initiated in 1986 under the Doi Moi program have become a powerful catalyst for Vietnam to achieve impressive GDP growth rates.
He emphasized that balanced domestic and foreign policies have helped Vietnam become a safe and attractive destination for multinational corporations. In addition, its favorable geographical location and developed export infrastructure also create strategic advantages for Vietnam.
However, to develop more sustainably, according to Dr. Alisher, Vietnam needs to focus on training high-quality human resources who understand scientific and technological achievements - the key factor for future development.
From the ashes of war to economic miracle
Mr. Claudio De Negri, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Communist Party of Chile, former Chilean Ambassador to Vietnam, affirmed that Vietnam's miraculous revival after the war is one of the most admirable success stories in the modern world.
According to him, in the mid-1980s, Vietnam was still one of the poorest countries in the world, suffering the heavy consequences of war and the colonial period. GDP per capita at that time was only about 100-200 USD/year, more than 70% of the population lived below the poverty line.
But with the Doi Moi reforms launched in 1986, Vietnam has entered a new chapter in its history. From being ranked 70th in rice production, Vietnam has quickly become one of the world’s leading rice exporters. By 2020, GDP per capita reached about $2,800, and the extreme poverty rate fell below 2%.

Mr. Negri emphasized that Vietnam has maintained an economic growth rate higher than the global average for many years. Strong investment in education and infrastructure is moving the country rapidly towards its goal of industrialization.
Today, Vietnam is among the world's leading exporters of electronics and textiles, attracting the strategic presence of multinational corporations such as Samsung, Intel, LG...
He especially appreciated Vietnam's internal strength - national unity - along with international strength, built on the foundation of affection and solidarity of friendly peoples like Chile.
Flexible combination of growth and stability
Speaking to Nhan Dan newspaper reporters, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Vietnam Ali Akbar Nazari affirmed that the April 30 Victory not only has historical significance for Vietnam but also has strong influence throughout the world. According to him, Vietnam's socio-economic development process after the country's reunification has become a model worth learning for many developing countries.

Ambassador Nazari expressed his admiration for Vietnam’s journey of rising from the ashes of war, overcoming harsh sanctions and international political isolation. He said that courage, perseverance, self-reliance and dynamism have helped Vietnam carry out profound changes, especially the Doi Moi process in 1986.
According to him, the economy has paved the way for strong development of the private sector, attracting foreign investment, promoting trade liberalization and global integration. The strategy of attracting investment and reforming economic institutions has helped Vietnam achieve stable growth, reduce poverty rate and move quickly on the path of industrialization.
Ambassador Nazari highly appreciated Vietnam's economic development model - a harmonious combination of the leading role of the state and market mechanisms, not following Western models. This is a valuable lesson for developing countries, including Iran.
He particularly emphasized the role of Vietnam's independent, autonomous and flexible foreign policy in balancing international relations and protecting national interests. This has helped Vietnam maintain political stability, promote economic growth and enhance its international position.
According to Ambassador Nazari, Vietnam is on the right track by focusing on innovation, digital transformation and sustainable development, thereby continuing to affirm its important role in the global economy in the coming decades.
