Also flying were Saudi Arabian astronaut Ali Al-Qarni, former NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson and pilot John Shoffner.
During their eight-day stay on the ISS, Peggy Whitson, John Shoffner, Ali Al-Qarni and Rayyanah Barnawi aim to conduct 20 research projects, including 14 developed by Saudi scientists in various fields. The launch was carried out on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. This is the second mission to carry a private crew to the ISS, following the first special flight of a 17-day mission in April last year.
