Will organize enforcement of land debt of enterprises

On October 9, speaking at a regular meeting to evaluate the results of the implementation of socio-economic tasks in the first 9 months, discussing the directions, tasks and solutions for the last months of 2023, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung - Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee, said that in the past 9 months, in the context of many difficulties and challenges, Hai Phong City still had many "bright spots".

However, some areas did not achieve the expected results, including budget revenue. Faced with this situation, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung affirmed that, by all means, Hai Phong City is determined to complete the budget revenue estimate of 42,500 billion VND this year and requested the Hai Phong City Tax Department to focus on completing the assigned revenue target.

Regarding the land debt of some enterprises, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung requested relevant departments, branches and localities to continue to urge, by the end of October 2023, if the enterprises do not pay, Hai Phong City will organize enforcement.

Reporting on the assessment of the implementation of socio-economic tasks of Hai Phong City in the first 9 months of 2023, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long - Director of Hai Phong Department of Planning and Investment, informed that many key economic indicators of Hai Phong City have grown impressively in recent times.

Of which, foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction reached more than 3 billion USD, exceeding 1.5 times the plan for the whole year of 2023, increasing more than 1.4 times compared to the same period in 2022. GRDP growth rate is high (10.08%), among the top in the country.

Other indicators such as industrial production development, public investment disbursement, tourist attraction, total retail sales and consumer service revenue, total social investment capital, etc. of Hai Phong City also had impressive growth.

Hai Phong City People's Committee has decided to establish 3 industrial clusters: Dung Tien - Giang Bien (Vinh Bao district), Quang Phuc (Tien Lang district), An Tho (An Lao district).

The commencement of many large projects and works, such as: Investment project for construction and business of infrastructure of Xuan Cau Industrial Park and Duty Free Zone; Project of Hai Phong City Political - Administrative Center; Social housing area at Warehouse 3 Lac Vien at 142 Le Lai in May Chai and Cau Tre wards, Ngo Quyen district, Hai Phong city, contributes to raising the position and opening up space and development potential for many economic - social fields of the locality .
