Regarding the incident in which many social media accounts shared images of a hotel named Fantasy Hotel Ha Long Bay, located in the core area of Ha Long Bay heritage, as reported by the press, on May 25, the People's Committee of Ha Long City ( Quang Ninh Province) issued a document confirming that the information about Fantasy Hotel Ha Long Bay is not true.

The Inspectorate of the Department of Information and Communications of Quang Ninh province has coordinated with the functional units of the People's Committee of Ha Long City to request the provision of documents, Facebook account information and content, images of false information as reflected in Official Dispatch No. 3791/UBND-VHTT dated May 25, 2023 of the People's Committee of Ha Long City; Coordinate with functional units to verify the information of the Facebook account owner posting information and images about Fantasy Hotel Ha Long Bay. If there are any violations of the truth, they will be handled according to regulations.

Accordingly, depending on the specific violation, the form and level of penalty applied are stipulated in Article 101, Decree 15/2020/ND-CP dated February 3, 2020, Stipulating administrative penalties for violations in the fields of post, telecommunications, radio frequencies, information technology, network information security and electronic transactions (Amended and supplemented by Decree No. 14/2022/ND-CP). The penalty ranges from 10,000,000 to 30,000,000 VND.
