The high school graduation exam always brings a mix of emotions – anxiety and excitement – and it's a significant milestone in every student's life. Now, with only 5 days left until the first exam, all students in the province have prepared themselves with the best possible resources.

12th grade students at Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary, Secondary, and High School (Ha Long City) are preparing for the 2023 High School Graduation Exam.

As an outstanding student of Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary, Secondary, and High School (Ha Long City) with many remarkable achievements throughout his three years of high school, Trieu Quoc Quan (class 12A9) has always strived to excel in his studies to achieve the highest possible results in the High School Graduation Exam. Quan won third prize in Chemistry and an honorable mention in Mathematics at the provincial-level excellent student competition; he is currently applying for Party membership. Quan excels in all subjects, chose to take the A0 exam block, and is determined to pass the entrance exam to Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Quan shared: "Hanoi University of Science and Technology usually has very high admission scores, so I always try to study diligently. Besides class time, I also study at home, researching many exam questions online. With the dedicated teaching and encouragement of my teachers, I have a solid foundation of knowledge. I believe I will achieve high scores in this year's High School Graduation Exam."

At this point, most candidates in the province have a solid mindset and a firm grasp of all the knowledge their teachers have imparted throughout the past period. Nguyen Manh Cuong (Class 12A2, Hoang Van Thu High School, Uong Bi City) shared: "I proactively developed my study plan early on with the motto of thoroughly understanding each topic. Now I am very confident with the knowledge I have learned, proficient in handling basic and advanced question types. At this time, I no longer stay up late or wake up early to study. In the 'final stretch,' I arrange my schedule more reasonably to have the best health and a confident mindset when entering the important exam ahead."

For the 2023 high school graduation exam, the entire province had 16,024 registered candidates, an increase of 265 candidates compared to the previous year. The province organized one examination board with 37 examination centers, ensuring compliance with examination regulations, convenience for candidates, and safety for the organization of the exam. Independent candidates and candidates from continuing education programs were assigned to take the exam alongside 12th-grade general education students, ensuring that the number of 12th-grade general education students accounted for at least 60% of the total number of candidates at each examination center.

To ensure the examination is conducted seriously, safely, strictly, transparently, objectively, and in accordance with regulations, and to avoid being caught off guard in any situation, the province has directed departments, localities, and relevant agencies to fully prepare the necessary conditions regarding human resources, facilities, and equipment; to develop plans and strategies to ensure security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention, flood and storm prevention, disease prevention, electricity supply, medical care, and food safety and hygiene... Candidates from poor households, ethnic minority areas, mountainous, border, and island regions will receive maximum support, ensuring that no candidate has to drop out of the exam due to economic or transportation difficulties.

The Department of Education and Training has made thorough preparations regarding facilities, plans, means, and equipment to ensure security and safety at the exam paper printing and copying locations. The printing and copying sites are arranged in three independent isolation zones. The grading area and the marking area are separate; security measures are in place to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Local People's Committees have prepared specific plans to promptly support candidates, officials, teachers, and lecturers at the examination sites in any unusual situations. Areas at high risk of storms and floods have proactive plans in place to ensure students remain in safe areas so they can travel to the examination sites without being hindered by storms or floods.
